Thanks for looking. It's very kind. We have her birth certificate and we know she was around in 1934 when her fathe died as we have recently found her referred to in his obituary but we can't find any reference to her after that. We've searched in marriages and deaths in both England and Scotland. Don't know what to do next. It's our dad's 70th next month and we would love to be able to tell him more about her, even if he didn't know she existed! Do you have any suggestions please?

Regards

Eustace was the first cousin of his second wife's late husband. Hence the same surname. I have found the index of the marriage but as yet have not accessed the actual certificate. I didn't realise that it would say iif he was divorced or widowed. Thanks for your help.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Grant-Dalton family

Hi

We were wondering if anyone could help. We have just found out that our great grandmother, following the death of our great grandfather, married Major Eustace Foster Grant-Dalton in 1936 in Marlybone, London. We looked him up and found out that he is from a family who have Brodsworth Hall in Doncaster. We know that he went onto marry a Sylvia Grant-Dalton in 1959. We simply want to find when the marriage with our great grandmother ended and whether there are any clues to where she went.

Our great grandmother in 1936 was called Jessie Mackay Grant-Dalton (previous married name was Young and maiden name Georgeson). Born in 1892 in Dunbarton, Scotland.

We would be grateful for any help with this information.

Thanks Jessie

John Percy died 23rd July 1934 at 8 Belgrave Road, Corstophine of a cerebral haemorrhage and was a writer to the signet.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Midlothian / Free church records

Hi

As I've just discovered this site I though I might ask if anyone knows howe to find out records for the free church of scotland. We contacted edinburgh city council but they couldn't find it because it is probably in private church grounds. My great grandfather John Percy Adair Young died in Corstophine in 1934. We have even been up to Edinburgh to see the house he died in acording to his death certificate but we couldn't find out anything else about his actual burial.

Thanks and I hope someone can point us in the right direction

I am trying to trace what happened to a great aunt called Mary Jessie Young born in Balero, Edinburgh in 1913. We only found out she existed when we started our family research. She would be the sister of our grandfather Donald Alexander Waugh Young. Her parents were John Percy Adair Young and Jessie Mackay Georgeson. We have searched deaths and marriages on both Scotlands people and Ancestry but there are no records. Could anyone advise us of what to do next please? Thanks
