Hello Susan,
I have been waiting to see if you got some replies, I also have a James and Sarah Haynes on my tree but mine were from Haworth and Keithley, I had a look for him but couldn't see him either, sorry but he may be one of those that you may never find a record for.

Hello kerry1212,
you havn't got mine listed,
I have some Durham miners, originating from a Welsh mining family, branching off to Yorkshire mines as well, I dont know if you know of this site but it is interesting and shows the large scale of workers down the mines back then.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Re: Earnshaw look up please
« on: Wednesday 03 October 07 21:49 BST (UK)  »
Hello Raylen,
this may be more complicated than you hoped, there are children born for a Robert Earnshaw at Slaidburn listed on the IGI, but the Thomas Earnshaw was christened in 1754, a little early for yours, but this one could have died and they named another child Thomas later, anyway these are the ones listed,

Thomas Earnshaw 03 FEB 1754 Slaidburn

James Earnshaw 07 DEC 1755 Slaidburn

Elizabeth Earnshaw 23 APR 1758 Slaidburn

John Earnshaw 16 AUG 1761 Slaidburn

Robert Earnshaw 27 MAY 1764 Slaidburn

Ann Earnshaw 15 MAY 1768 Slaidburn

all listed as having Robert Earnshaw as Father.

Hope this helps, regards IOW Maiden.

Hello Brian,
only a possibility but could it be Crawshaw, there are more of them and there was an Emma Crawshaw born in Leeds in 1847.

Hampshire & IOW Lookup Requests / Re: John Lock
« on: Friday 20 July 07 19:59 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I think you will find Anthony Lock and Susanna M/Warlowe who married in 1616 at Northwood
had the following children
Robert Lock1618 Carisbrooke
Anthony Lock 1622 Carisbrooke
John Lock 1624 Carisbrooke
Elizabeth Lock 1626 Carisbrooke
Samson Lock 1628 Carisbrooke
George Lock 1630 Carisbrooke
Ann Lock 1632 Carisbrooke
Bridget Lock 1634 Carisbrooke
Edward Lock 1636 Carisbrooke
Dorothy Lock 1638 Carisbrooke

Anthony Lock the son of Anthony and Susanna was the father of John Lock born 1643, no other children found for this Anthony on the island.

John Lock married Rose Hach in 1666 at Calbourne
they had
John Lock 1666 Newport died 1666
William Lock 1667 Newport
John Lock baptised 21 October1669 Newport,
Rose Lock died sometime after 1667 because John Lock married Grace Paine on the 10 Feb 1669 at Calbourne so the second son John Lock could have been either Grace or Roses child.
John and Grace had
Mark Lock 1672 Newport
Edward Lock 1674 Newport died 1719 Newport he married Ann Vincent in 1699 Newport and then Mary Atwood in 1710 Newport

Edward Lock  had the following children with Ann Vincent
Edward 1702
Mary abt 1703
John 1706 possibly married Ann Witt in Southampton in 1737
Lazarus 1708
and the following children with Mary Atwood.
Margaret 1711
Ann 1714
Robard/Robert 1716
Robert Lock 1718 married Ann Goater 1739

All of the above are actual records but I cannot be 100% sure they all fit together.
Regards IOW Maiden.

I think you will find it is not Mary but Martha Lock, Marys sister who was James Lock's mother and she married Thomas Martin 10 October 1736 at Freshwater.

Recieved today,
so will now have to ask elsewhere.

"Thank you for your email enquiry of 9 June 2007.
I am afraid that I am unable to search the Llanyblodwell marriage register
between the dates 1813 and 1837 as it has not survived.  You may like to
try Lichfield Record Office to see if they have the Bishop's transcripts
for the period."

I will contact them and see if they can come up with anything.
Regards IOW Maiden.
