William & Lorraine Porter's last at 2 Saywell S.t Sorento Southport Qld. in 1980. He aged 86 . I am trying to find his date & place of death Her father was Harold Hinckley Jones of Victoria . I can find no records of their deaths .They had no children. He was my mother's 1/2 brother. Can anyone help.     Ron

There should be an article about the demolition of this historic house in 1957 or earlier photos  in local newspapers . I don't want to buy the ones from Scot Heritage with out an idea of what you get for your money.

William Wood was a gardener ,servant in the South Lodge Auchtyfardle around 1935-40 when his son Bill was born. The house was demolished in 1957. Are any records of the house and staff out there ? I have not seen any on line so far other than old history . The house goes back hundreds of years .  Some one must have photos around this period . In Hope    RON.
