Could I have a lookup please for Henry Frederick Forbes, born 1850, Brookwalls,Derbys, in the 1881 Census he is at  36b Brickkiln Street, Dudley, wife Mary Ann Corbett, in 1891 he should be living with a Mary Ann Edmunds. A sucker for Mary Ann's apparently! and Oblige...Skoosh.

Pam, could the Mary Ann Corbett, seamstress, sister in law, in your reply to Downunder be the one in my post, born 1851, parents Herbert & Ann Corbett.

Hi Folks, anything known on a Mary Ann Corbett , b.Stourbridge 1850ish who married Henry Frederick Forbes, b. Brookwalls,Derbys 1850, at Dudley on 11 Oct 1874, she a seamstress he a glassmaker. In the 1881 census they are at 36b Brickkiln Street, Dudley with dau' Louisa & Albert W Corbett, bro' in law.

Cheers Kevin, I think the guys in the States had a notion of a common origin for the name Meek but the reality has proved otherwise and where the paperwork is non existent the DNA offers a reliable alternative. fascinating Stuff! why should the criminals monopolise the technology?..........Skoosh.

Kevin, obviously a prominent family,have you thought of joining the Meek DNA Programme, its run by a couple of guys in the US, Chris Meek & Fred Meek, I believe there were Meek's in York in the early 1300s, are these yours? Fred  can be found at "winmeek"and Chris at "Chris Meek DNA", very interesting stuff, providing you have a traceable Meek line (not adopted or anything) ,charges are very reasonable but the results take a couple of months........Skoosh.
