Hi Folks,

This appears to be John HUMPHRIES (HUMPHREYS) second marriage

Quarter 3 in 1871
Fletcher               Emily Price             W. Derby    8b   Pg 665
Humphries           John Richard         W. Derby    8b   Pg 665

In 1871 the only Emily Price FLETCHER I can find was in Withington, Lancashire, born DUDDLESTON - 1852.
In 1881 as Emily HUMPHRIES in Rusholme she was from Dudleston, Flintshire -1853.

By 1902 John appears to be with his 3rd wife.

Please can anyone find a birth or a baptism or the 1861 for Emily?

Regards

Mike

Lancashire Lookup Requests / St. Mary, Kirkdale marriage in 1871
« on: Monday 29 December 14 15:49 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Folks,

One of mine seems to have strayed into the 'pool.

FreeBMD says John R HUMPHRIES married Emily Price FLETCHER Q3 1871 West Derby

LancashireBMD says John P HUMPHRIES married Emily P FLETCHER in 1871, @ Kirkdale, St. Mary

I'm assuming these different indexes refer to the same event. In 1861 John was near Wolverhampton and in 1881 he and an 'Emily' were in Manchester, having had son Ernest in 1873 in Stoke-on-Trent.

My request is: Please does anyone have access to the church registers, for the full details?

I've tried Ancestry, FindMyPast and FamilySearch.

Kind regards

Mike

Hi Folks,

Please does anyone have access to this church record as I am trying to work out John's middle name, which was either Richard or Robert.

Marriage in the third quarter of 1857

Humphreys   John         Wolverhampton    6b   513
Townsend      Emma       Wolverhampton    6b   513

The GOONs subsidiary website, http://www.marriage-locator.co.uk/, says:-

"Sorry, we cannot locate the church for this marriage. The entry is located between entries for Lapley All Saints (RD: Penkridge) and Tettenhall (RD: Wolverhampton)."

Denbighshire / JONES & HUMPHREYS in The Sun Inn, Llandrillos Yn Rhos in 1871
« on: Wednesday 19 November 14 15:40 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Folks,

Please can anyone provide any further information, at all, on this family who were in The Sun Inn, Llandrillo-Yn-Rhos, Denbighshire in the 1871 census:

John JONES, 39, Publican & Farmer, from Bettws
Mary J JONES, 28, , Meifod
Pryce WILLIAMS, 28, Butcher, Meifod Brother-in-law
Elizabeth WILLIAMS, 29, Meifod  Sister-iin-law
William HUMPHREY, 10, Scholar, Staffordshire  An unrelated boarder - I think
Margt JONES, 23, Servant, Llanfair Talhaiam   Not knowingly related

Ref: RG10; Piece: 5738; Folio: 77; Page: 26

I am tracking from the past forwards in time.

By 1861 my 2 x great aunts had left Welshpool, having been born in Meifod, and were both working has servants in a very posh house in Hannington, in Wiltshire.  Details:

Elizabeth HUMPHREYS, born 1840, Meifiod
Mary Jane HUMPHREYS, born 1841/42, Meifod
Parents: Robert HUMPHREYS and Mary JONES

These details seem to fit very nicely with the above census.

Kind regards

Mike
