If it is of any help my Grandfather Patrick Slowey  born Oct 1907 in Newmains just outside Wishaw was brought up with his aunt his Mun & Dad did not marry his Dad went on to marry a woman from Wishaw they had a son called Francis and they all immigrated to Livinoa in Michigan Detriot
We are still working on this but I have more information regarding these Sloweys if it is of any help to you

My Family are reserching our Family Tree at the moment and the Name Leonard is a very prominent Name as it was my Grandfathers Mothers Name and there is a bit of a storey behind it her Name was Margaret Leonard and she came from Newmains near Wishaw but went on to reside in Auchentorlie House  I think in Paisley  (have more information) any inmformation would be greatfull and any information we have maybe of help to you
