Hi
I have been looking over a lot of research I have been doing on my family tree over the past few years and think I have found a bit of a discrepancy my grrr grandmother was Catherine Curran born in Donegal in 1852 she married Francis Newlands on 06/04/1869 at St Andrews Chapel Great Clyde Street Glasgow but her father's name is different on her marriage and death certificate on her marriage certificate it is shown as Patrick Curran but on her death certificate her father is listed as Edward
Any ideas to why this might be ?

Hi
William and Margaret were my ggg grandparents their son Francis was my gg grandfather on his marriage certificate it says at time of his marriage his address was 97 Saltmarket Glasgow his mother's maiden name was De Burgh/Burke there are a few spellings of her surname I think his father was deceased by then.
Margarets father was William De Burgh a Hawker and her mother was Sarah maiden name Docherty I hope this can be of some help to you I think we have been in touch on roots before.
Also Francis was born in Oakley Fife in 1846 I am guessing they may have lived there at some point
I would like to hear of any information you have on the family.
