This is so spooky Corbie. Just looked at some of your other posts and can't believe I may be able to help you out here!
I have sent my brother an email tonight. The Old Ship (Tatsfied) is his favourite watering hole. My cousin lives in Tatsfield as well so he should know of your father. I'll keep you posted.
Jackie
  Hi again Jackie,
  Talk about "SPOOKY"
When you sent the message about phoning PHILIP it was 1-57 am here in Toronto. I was woken up with a tapping on my shoulder! I thought it was my hubby but he had only just got in from work and hadn't even come near the bedroom!!! (He works 3pm to midnight)
I got up and asked why he had woke me up!
That was the time your message was posted on the site.
Now THAT IS SPOOKY!!! Don't you think?

To update on this message.
I am now intouch with PHIIP HYATT'S widow,  Shirley, thanks to some great people who read an ad I put into the Western Australin newspaper!
She told me that GERALD HYATT had a son also named PHILIP, his wife's name was Freda, who has now passed away.
So I now know that I am looking for a "PHILIP HYATT" born 1949-50 in MOONAH Tas'. I have written to several addresses in Tas but as yet have had no replies. If there is anyone on this site that cuold help me I will be forever greatful.
           Thank's Sue
I'm trying to trace the families of two of my uncles.
They both went over "The Pond" after ww2. They are; PHILLIP HYATT who's last known address was in Colliss Rd South Coogee. He passed away in 1982, I believe his wife was, Shirley. The other one is GERALD HYATT who was in 1RAR and was killed in Korea in 1952, he lived in Tasmania "Moonah" I understand. I would dearly love to find their families and get to know any 'cousin's' I must have over there. My father was DENIS HYATT their brother.I have been searching for many years and really hope someone out there can help me. :) :)
          Your's Hopefully Corbie

Hi Anna,
My Grandmother, Mother and Mother-in-law's D'Cert's all have their maiden names on them. Maybe it's a recent thing as the earliest one of them is 1982.

Looks like he was a civilian.  He has an honorary rank (major), and no service number.

See if this link leads you anywhere: http://www.allstates-flag.com/fotw/flags/eaf-brit.html

Good luck.
Thudders
Hi Thudders,

Thankyou for the site I'll get on to it ASAP !
This guy is like the "Scarlet Pimpernel" I can't find him anywhere.
