The Lighter Side / Re: HAVE YOU VISITED THE FAMILY HOME ?
« on: Sunday 06 February 05 19:42 GMT (UK)  »
We had a fantastic time on Jan/2/05 The day before we flew back to Toronto We went to 6, HOXTON SQUARE and saw the home of our gg HYATT grandparents, it has been restored to what it looked like on the outside when they lived there. We then walked up to BRIGHTON RD to see another two homes and then on to AMHERST RD for a look at another one It was a great day out ending with a wonderful evening in a COVENT GARDEN Pub

Hi Trish,
Thankyou so much for getting back to me so soon, I have all the info' from the sites you suggest, I'm even intouch with my Uncle Phillip's commanding officer in the UK. Uncle Gerald is still a mystery as far as what happened to his family. It is a long story but there were five brothers and we are trying to trace their families, I have traced two of them and now have contact with the daughter's of one of them and we are all hoping to find any other cousins.
As far as the white pages, I do have all of the relevent ones and if I get no luck through the internet I will write to the most likely addresses. That is the way I found the other brother's families. As I live in Canada it is awkward to do searches at times.
Once again Thankyou for you prompt reply

I'm trying to trace the families of two of my uncles.
They both went over "The Pond" after ww2. They are; PHILLIP HYATT who's last known address was in Colliss Rd South Coogee. He passed away in 1982, I believe his wife was, Shirley. The other one is GERALD HYATT who was in 1RAR and was killed in Korea in 1952, he lived in Tasmania "Moonah" I understand. I would dearly love to find their families and get to know any 'cousin's' I must have over there. My father was DENIS HYATT their brother.I have been searching for many years and really hope someone out there can help me. :) :)

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: ELLIOTT LOOK UP PLEASE
« on: Monday 17 January 05 18:26 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Casalguidi,
Yes we know about 6 Hoxton Square, they are my grt grandparents. In fact we went to see it when we were over in the UK last year. The St Lukes birth doesn't exist. We tried to find out and there is no reg' for it.
The address on her mar' cert is Wellesley Terrace for both of them and we know that is the address for George's parents. This is the reason we are having a lot of trouble finding her family.
Thank's for getting back to me so soon.

ELLIOTT Look up Please,
I hope some kind soul out there can help me, I'm looking for the family of SELINA ELLIOTT b1850 we think it was Camberwell as that is the only Selina Elliott for that time. Her father, (on her marriage to George Hyatt in 1870 ) was William Elliott, a publican. We know she had at least one sister Eliza who was married to an Edward Shaw. I'm waiting to receive her b'cert but it takes a while to get here to Canada.
Any help will be appreciated Thanks

We Have finally got SELINA'S B CERT!!  She was born in St Lukes Middlesex, on
 Nov/15/1849. Parents..

Youv'e done more than enough!
We think that a lot of them went into the military, as I know Lilian was when she met my Grandad. The army never gave the names of the people in the barracks they only gave how many men women and children were serving! So unless we get hold of the barracks roll call it's a dead end.
       Once again THANKYOU!!! :) :)
