Thank you for that. The confirmation that it was a boarding school is helpful.

Essex Lookup Requests / 1851 Census Boxted

William Nicholas Freeman Parson was born Dec Q 1843 in Lexden RD.  From 1881 and 1891 census returns I believe he was born in Boxted.
Would be very grateful if someone could look him up in Boxted in 1851 so that I can find out about his family.

I can't find those addresses either!
I looked on Gen Docs Victorian London Street Index and the names of Asmore and Chippenham  Roads are referenced as 1997.  Offenham Terrace does not appear.
Thoroughly confused now!

An ancestor, Amy Lewin, was at the above school in 1871 according to the Census. (aged 15, born in India)

Can anyone tell me the name of the school or anything about it please?

There seem to be 2 Seabright Streets in Bethnal Green.  Have looked at both but can't find your family: some film quality was poor so I could have missed them. Sorry.

I can't find Offenham Terrace in the 1861 Street Index.   :(

Could be that the street was renamed or maybe did not exist in 1861.

If you have any other possible addresses I will check them for you but I do not have a surname index at present.

This is all quite complicated!

A few ideas:
Could Elizabeth have been in some kind of institution in 1881?  I seem to remember that inmates of Workhouses/asylums etc were not always named in full eg just initials.
Elizabeth might have left Frederick and be living with another man and using his name
She could just be visiting friends/family and been listed with their surname - it would be worth looking for example at the names of the witnesses on her marriage certificate, could she be staying with them?

Have looked at Aldersgate Buildings on the 1861 census but no Whitby family found.

Sorry
