Have just seen your post - I only joined the list recently.
I have the 1841 and 1851 census for Brampton - no Waltons but the Peace family is on both.
Do you want details?

Hello Sylviaann

Thank you for those references which I have now looked up.

They do not seem to be my family but some could be related so I will keep them in my records for future reference.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have failed to find baptisms for the oldest and youngest children on the IGI; the middle ones seem to have been done in batches.
This is a very elusive family!
Will definitely try for another 1861 address.

I have them on the 1871 and subsequent censuses but have failed to find them before that.  They seem to have "settled" some time between the 1871 and 1881 censuses; before that they seem to have moved very regularly - it took me several attempts to find them in 1871 using places of birth on their children's birth certificates.
I will have another go at the 1861 when I go up to the FRC next but will have to order yet more birth certificates :(

Thanks for looking Cougar.
Looks like I will have to be patient or start to work my way methodically through the censuses!

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Kensington High Street - 1851
« on: Saturday 15 January 05 17:51 GMT (UK)  »
I can't find your families on the census return.

No 7 has Head Catherine Pope
Also Head Catherine Vann? - difficult to read surname

No 8 has as Head Evan Meredith

No 9 is The Marquis of Granby Tavern - could they have been staying there?

If the occupants of nos 7 & 8 could be connected I will let you have all the details.

I wondered if they could have been staying at No 78 but there is no 78 Kensington High Street in the Street Index!

Does anyone have any indexes for the 1851 or (less likely) 1841 censuses please?
I have both censuses for London but cannot find my Headington family at any addresses I have.
Particularly interested in Richard Headington born 1835 and his parents Richard and Elizabeth.  There may be siblings.  They are most likely to be in East London.
Also, in the 1851 census I would like to find Lucy Purser b 1832 Brampton, Hunts. She married Richard in Bethnal Green in 1856. Her age varies from census to census, probably because she was older than her husband!
Any help with index references much appreciated.

Thank you for these extracts Emma.

Would still be grateful for 1861 and 1841 census look ups if anyone can help.
