Sorry for the delay in responding to your query in March 2022- This info. came from the 2xgrt grandaughter, by name of Flemming Schmidt. (my cousin was in contact via family tree)  I also looked up some information quite a while ago on Flemming who appears to be the son of a Schmidt but forenames of Flemming's father is very different.    ankerpep.(Janet)

Europe / Andreas Andersen Schmidt 1847-1918
« on: Sunday 13 March 22 20:15 GMT (UK)  »
Andreas was born 16 March 1847-Edslev Mark Kolt Ning Aarhus Denmark-His parents were Anders Andreasen and Ane Jensdsatter.
Andreas married 1867 to Maren Jacobsen of Framlev Aarhus Dk.
How did his surname become Schmidt, rather than remaining as Andreasen or Andersen. All Andreas's children from then on kept the surname of Schmidt.
If the father Anders had other children, I am unaware of them, or if others, did they also change their surnames?   Can you help with this please? Ankerpep-52 (Janet)

Canada / Q - Gerald married Ivy (nee Knittel) - Winnipeg Man
« on: Thursday 14 October 21 06:15 BST (UK)  »
Gerald was born abt 1901 in Montreal & married to Ivy (nee Knittel) born abt 1903 Winnipeg Man.
In 1929 they resided at 2150 Yonge St, Toronto ON.  Could you please check the City Directory for
that address for that year. (Dirctory was printed in 1930 for the 29 yr.) to obtain the correct spelling of Geralds surname.  I believe they moved from Toronto to Montreal shortly after she gave birth to twin boys of which 1 died.   Possibly check the census for 1930 or 31. to see if they are still listed somewhere in  Toronto.  Your help is much appreciated as I have tried to locate this man and without his proper spelling of the surname it is difficult. Thank you (Janet)

Rasmus Sorensen Kristensen, born 4 July 1881 Storring Framlev, Dk., to Soren Kristensen and Inge Marie Rasmussen. He immigrated to USA in 1907. He went to Denver about 1912 where he and wife were both nauralized. In 1918-he lived 4503 Ravenswood Ave Chicago, .and in 1930 he worked for Paschen Bros. as bricklayer and granddaughter Alvera Mathieson/sen.,age 4yrs.with them.  1942 he was in Denver Colorado, employed by Broderick Gordon (Denver Ordnance plant)
He was on the Passenger lists from Dk to Usa in 1954 & 55 (self only) & still residing at the martial home of 2629 South St Denver.  On the 10 Apr. 1951 he departed New York to Denmark and died  5 July 1957 @13 Otto Benzonz Vej, Arhus, Aarhus, Denmark as surname Christensen. And buried in Northern Cemetery Arhus. At time of his death his wife Martina, was residing at Vindvlaesvej 4, Logstor, Alborg, Dk.
I am asking if anyone can tell me the name of the people living at the address where Rasmus died, as they may be related.  Also the name of the people where Martina was at the time, as they may be her relatives. I do not know if Martina returned to Denver or stayed in Denmark and her parents names also unknown at this time.  Also looking to obtain her death after 1957.   All help would be very much appreciated & hope to hear from you in the near future. Thank you. Janet

Hi --Bruce Anthony married in 1946, had 3 children- Julia the oldest married in 1968 and had 2 children.  Caroline the middle child was in the States when her dad died in 2011. Andrew the youngest married in 1976 and had 4 children. So the family is still carrying on.     Bruce's mother and I are 1st cousins, 1 x removed      FYI  Janet

Hi Janet,

Can you let us know whether or not you still have these children on your family tree please. I ask because of a comment made earlier.......

"Marriage in England-is the wong person, I don't have the marriage cert but the parents always lived in Christchurch NZ and also his sister Pamela.  I have deleted the england marriage and the children from my records and will have to rethink this family.  Janet"

Minihaha=Thanks for the Probate record=However his name is not Frederick Dudley, he did not have a  sister named Mary Good.  His sisters were Kathleen Eva, and Nancy Allison. Fred was employed in the bank rather than being a Carrying Contractor.  Ha also died This is definitely not the same person, but thank you for trying.  Janet
