thank you . the info i have put on my post is from the marriage transcript on ancestry from Book:   Marriages at Bilborough, 1569 to 1812. (Marriage)
Collection:   Nottinghamshire: - Register of Marriages, 1540-1812.

i not sure about where the  Widmerpool link comes in but like you that is the only baptism i can find too, thank you for looking

thank you so much for all your help. i think you maybe correct, i have joseph and frances as the parents .. i started to doubt i had the correct info in my tree, you have help me clear my head and see the light again, i will work the info you have gave me and see what i come up with,

samuel copson is my relation who married mary above, and a few ancestry Dna matches to me have  mary bonser which is the one that married william bell.  (i have matches for mary and samuel too) i am trying to find the connection as ancestry saying it same parents. banging my had against a brick wall

can anyone help me i am looking for the marriage of George Bell born abt 1807 his wife is lydia. looking at other ppls trees they have Lydia with maiden name of Hardy   and them marrying 24 Dec 1827 Arnold, Nottingham, there is no evidence on the trees of this marriage. i have also found who i believe is them  them on the 1841 census living with a older male with the surname of Bonser ... could this be Lydia's father,
