World War One / Re: US Army headstone - help to understand the unit abbreviation

Hi
I have just remembered a huge number of WW1 army records were lost in a fire so you may not have much luck. I have used a private researcher who is on the ground at the archives. This is his website and is well worth a read as there is lots of useful information there.

Hi
Don't know if you are a member of Ancestry but after a quick look I see they have U.S. Headstone Applications for Military Veterans 1925-1963. Your man is there. His service number is 1876067 . Enlisted 22 August 1917. Date of discharge 11 January 1919. His wife Rose was the applicant.
If you can take a look at this. I believe you may have to apply for his records but not absolutely sure.

Sorry, re-read your post and see you don't know first names so electoral rolls not much use without that.

Hi Nick

I don't know what other details you are looking for but if you are a member of Ancestry they have the NZ electoral rolls up until 1981. Your people may be on there depending on their ages. Take a look.
I am also in the UK but often find other ways to track down people.

Good luck

Hi

One son Dennis Basil Charles Pender died 13 March 2019. He was born 29th October 1929. If you are a member of Ancestry there are some entries for him. Outward bound UK to NZ 1954. He was married 1964 in UK and he and his wife were on the 1968 NSW electoral roll and there after in NZ. I couldn't find Lily on the 1981 NZ electoral roll and also couldn't find a death. Hopefully the NZ rootschatters will come up with something for you. There doesn't appear to be a death notice for Daniel.

Hi
Robert B is also listed in Australian Archive passenger lists. Not much help but may be of interest. I have attached one example.
