Hi Nicky,
Very little appears to exist i guess and this is only a guess DOB 1865? could be 1870? DOD i think its 1932 but don't unsure, my brother told me he died in Australia, however he came back to the UK and had a cafe in bristol and was owner of the Tennis Court hotel in Bridgend 1931-1932?, i think he died in Merthyr Tydfil, as i have a picture of my father there in 1933. I have only one photograph of Benjamin Williams, and i nothing much about his first family who lived in Mardy and Argoed.
Must have been a hardly soul as he worked in the gold mines in Ghana 1902 till 1910! Most of the information i have is from a South Wales Echo reprint undated after 8/1911 probably 1920's.
His father was named Griffith Williams and he worked as a pilot on the Briton Ferry.
Hope this helps, if not do let me know
thanks in advance
Paul Williams
