I would be interested in seeing some of the details.
Still looking for John England found a couple of deaths which might be the one:
1915 first Quarter in Bury, Lancashire and 1918 in Leeds.
But it seems strange nothing after 1885, not on 1891 census just Annie with William and Daisy. cannot find any John England birthdate 1859 in 1901 or 1911 censuses.
But it could be that he altered his age, my grandfather did also his place of birth which just adds problem of locating the right person.

Also there is a marriage 26 September 1917 Alexander Leggat Skelly to   Jessie (Janet) McLachlan
which is a bit strange as Jessie (Janet) McLachlan death was 26 Jul 1917!
