Hi. Can anyone do the following census lookups for me in the 1841 and 1851 censes???":

Joseph and Sarah PEARSON. She was born in 1813. He was a butcher/innkeeper. Might be living in Wilsden or Denholme.
Jonathan FOSTER possibly in Denholme.
William FOSTER possibly in Denholme.
Joseph HARTLEY possibly in Denholme.

These three men were witnesses on two marriages in 1832 and 1836, so I would expect that they might have been born prior to 1815, to have been of an age to bear witness to marriages in those years.

Hi. I have two death certificates for relatives in USA, and am trying to track down their families. I would be interested if anyone can help me track down the following two people who were the informants on the death certificates:

I noticed that phone directories for 1993-2002 are available, and maybe someone has access to some earlier ones.

I would be interested in finding out where they might have moved to, and if any family members are shown in the phone directories.

Hi. I am looking for information on some family whom I think were living in Washington State. My great great grandmother (Violet Catherine Isabella ELBRA) was divorced from her husband in Australia in 1903. She left for USA/Canada with a defacto husband (Edward Ernest Augustus TOMKINS). They had 5 children: Violet, Daisy, (Amy)Ethel, Grace, and Roy.
Violet seems to have left Edward after living in British Columbia, and moved to Seattle with some of the children. She is there in the 1930 census. She had another defacto husband with the surname LYTLE, and her death is registered under this surname. I have Violet and Edward's deaths and obituaries already.

I would love to get in contact with any of the living descendants. I have made contact with the families of Violet and Daisy, adn have a lead for Grace, but haven't found any relations of Ethel, or Roy.

Amy Ethel TOMKINS was born 1911, and died in 1982 in Seattle. Her first husband was Frank CAPARELLO, second was J.W.HARDIN, and third was ? MATTILA (name she died with). Children might be ^(*), maybe some more. ^(*), was the informant for her death.

Roy Robert TOMKINS b.1917 died 1990 (as Roy LYTLE) at Puyallup WA. He had two daughters. One might be ^(*), (informant for his death).

Any help would be great.

Does anyone have access to registers, or cemetery transcripts for Kipping Independent Non conformist in Thornton, near Bradford?
I have found one sibling of my ancestor was christened here in 1813 (one the IGI), but haven't found any of the other children, nor my direct ancestor's christening.
Wondering if any of them might show up in the registers, or if any might have been buried in the cemetery there (if it has one!).

Can anyone explain to me the tradition of using surnames as christian names in the area around Bradford? Is there a certain 'rule' for naming children?
