Look up 1841/1851 FALCONER (Brechin)

Can anyone help me find the following two families

Hugh FALCONER c1815
parents
Alexander
Margaret

who married 24 Jul 1840 - Brechin

Agnes ARNOT c1806
parents
James
Jean??

Hugh and Agnes were at South Esk Street, Brechin in 1841. Hugh is aged 25, an Ag Labourer born outside Angus. Agnes is aged 20 born in Angus and they have George (son?) aged 6m, born Angus, living with them.
Ages for Hugh and Agnes would be rounded to the nearest 5. If this is the right couple then a birth year for Agnes of 1806 would seem unlikely.

Hi Wendy,
I checked the IGI and it lists the following children of this couple, all born in Brechin-
George born 1840
Jane Reid born 1843
Alexander born 1844
Margaret Martin born 1848
David Reid born 1853

Given the evidence of the children's names I would think their is a good chance that Agnes is the daughter of Robert Arnott and Jean Reid born 1819 in Brechin.

Only lead I can find on Margaret Martin is that someone of that name married a David Falconer in Brechin in 1851. Might be worth following up.

Hya Wendy, came to the same conclusion as isobel. Below is the census return for 1841 for Hugh Falconer and wife Agnes.If you take the ages for granted this makes Hugh born 1816 so only a year out on your app birth year, but Agnes could not possibly have been born 1806, well not this Agnes anyway. I also agree with isobel on Agnes's parents and date of birth.
