Hi Megran,

My BB (he was my G-G-G-Grandfather) was born in 1810 in Northop and died in 1874.  He owned and ran the New Inn in Connah's Quay at least between 1861 and 1881.  He married Hannah (b. 1827, Golftyn, d. 1905).

Both are buried in the church yard of St. Mark's in CQ - the headstone is still there.

They were the parents of Elizabeth, Emily, Martha, Mary, John and Thomas.

Lee

Hello Lee,
Thank you for your reply.  I have Benjamin bn 8 March 1809, bp 10 March 1809 Northop parish. I am still seeking his 1st marriage pre 1835.  Trying to find connection between the two branches of Bennetts.

hi megran
its hard having so many benjamin bennetts to follow-are you connected to the one i usually find on family search who was born around 1798 and also married a catherine jones-according to entries on family search-but they went to utah and both died there. ???? Too many jones and bennett families in that area for me-makes it very hard.

Hi Megran,
I've got Benjamin Bennett b Mar 8, 1809 in Northop. He married Mary? and had 2 sons, Christopher b 1834, and William b 1841. Christopher is my wife's great great grandfather. It is my research of his daugter Annie Matilda that has brought me to this forum.
Any connection to your family?
Regards,
Garry

Regarding the message posted by majorsam 20.01.06.
I noted that John and Kezia Bennett both died at 28 Sydney St, Flint.
In fact Kezia died in 1922, yet my wife's auntie Annie Kelly was born in that same house in 1919.
Annie Kelly's mother was Maidie Kelly (nee Bargery) b 1900, and her mother was Annie Matilda Bennett b 1875 in Northop.
Does anyone know the relationship between Annie Matilda Bennett and John and Kezia Bennett?
Annie's father was Christopher Bennett b1834 in Liverpool. By 1851 Christopher was living in Wepre and was a Master Mariner on the River Dee.
best wishes,
Garry

Taffy Lee,
Your Benjamin Bennett was born Mar 8, 1809. His first wife was Mary and they had 2 sons Christopher b 1834, and William b 1841.
His second wife was Hannah Browne and they had John b 1851, Mary b 1852, Martha b 1855, Thomas b 1858, Emily b 1860, Elizabeth b 1862, and another Christopher b 1864.
and some of your line of Bennetts are now living in Fowey, Cornwall.
I would be interested to know if you have any info on Benjamins first wife, and their family.
Regards
Garry
