Just to let everyone know that this picture was in fact taken in St Helier, Jersey in 1937 when the young man was aged 19.  He died several years ago but a link to this posting is being sent to his daughter who lives in America. 

His brother is most impressed with all the photographs here, amazed at the results and cannot thank you all enough.
