Hi Trish,

I'm not sure if you will get this as I can see you haven't logged on for a while but I thought Id give it a shot!!

I believe I work in the building that once was Timms Abel's blacksmiths. This is only going by what I have found on-line and not 100% fact (yet!). However I know the building was a stable and its in Peacock mews, Leighton Buzzard. My business on the other side from the Peacock Inn so its looking good!

I was hoping if you had any more information on Timms or his business you may be able to share with me?

There seems to be very little history on this building, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks
Michelle

Hi Michelle

Hope you don't mind me joining this thread - I too am looking for more info on the Timms family - as they are distant relatives of mine. We started the family tree a few weeks ago and this is one 'branch' we are pursuing. He was my great great grandfather apparently. If you know any more I'd love to hear about them, or see old photos.

Abel Timms (married to Betsy) had the forge I think at the back of the Peacock Inn. His parents were Daniel (blacksmith) and Phoebe Timms.

More info about the building is here - hope it's of interest. Steve
