Wenfording or Wendover or Wreningham
« on: Thursday 27 October 05 18:08 BST (UK) »
I have just found ancestors on the 1851 census.

According to the 1851 census:
Isaac DIXON (horse Keeper)was born at Wenfording, Norfolk.
Is there any such place? If not could someone suggest something close, please?

Robert DIXON was born at Wendover, Buckenham. Is there such a place?

I would like suggestions as to what parish their birth might have been registered, please.

Thank You,
Michele

Hi Michele, :)

there is a Wendover in Buckinghamshire, see this link -

A possibility for Wendfording might be Winfarthing.

Darcy

Sounds close to my ancestor Robert Dixon of Wendover Buckinghamshire.
