Derry - Roman Catholic Churches and their Records - Link
« on: Saturday 29 October 05 02:09 BST (UK) »
This link shows the records which are available for the Roman Catholic Church in County Derry. Some are in local custody (LC) and can be gotten by writing to the local priest. Others are available through the Genealogical Centre (GC) and still others at the National Library of Ireland (NLI) and the National Archives of Ireland (NAI) and through the Salt Lake City Family History Center (SLC film numbers).

When Father John Lynch was raising funds to build St Columba's Church Long Tower in the 1780s he was supported not only by members of the Catholic faith but also by members of the Protestant faith. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Columba's_Church,_Long_Tower
