1901 irish census
« on: Sunday 30 October 05 21:34 GMT (UK) »
Long shot here....

My ancestor Catherine Trainor/traynor was born in 1877 and I can't find her in the UK census.  her parents were from Ireland (but don't know where) - how easy/difficult is it to search in ireland 1901 to see if she was visiting???

Thanks, Nicola

It's really difficult.

Most counties are not on line. Scraps are. See my webpage for links.

Going through older posts and came across this one. By now you might have been able to find more information but if you haven't done so the following might be of interest.

The 1901 and 1911 census records are both now online (free)-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search

If you've already found the details you were looking for please go back to your 1st post on the thread and add the word completed to the title to let us know.
