David Price Abertillery
« on: Monday 31 October 05 04:31 GMT (UK) »
Commonly known as "Dai the Bobby" this gent lived at Warm Turn Abertillery. He came from Herefordshire originally and served at Dukestown, Cefn Fforest, Hollybush and Abertillery. He had a son, also David, who worked "for the Council", I don't know when.
David Snr was well known in budgie breeding and boxing circles. He was once anchorman for the South Wales Police tug of war team. His wife was Florrie. David Jnr married in Abertillery. Any info welcome!

Hi Ozlady

Do you have any idea of dates?  I know people in the area and might be able to find something out, but I will need some sort of time frame ??? :)

Stiff - Monmouthshire & Glos, Parry - Monmouthshire
Stafford - Glos, Liles - Glos, Bright- Glos, Webb - Monmouthshire & Glos, Smart - Glos, Smith - Glos
Sullivan - Ireland, Jones (oh dear! Almost as bad as Smith), Walker - Somerset, Llewellyn
And, no don't laugh...Crump...I think it's great!

And of course, if I ever do manage to do a successful look up it is crown copyright and all that legal stuff!
