Birth look up Dublin

Can anyone help confirm some details for me.

Patrick HASLAM b 1826 Dublin - son of William HASLAM a Customs Officer.

What I am trying to establish is if an Edward Haslam b 1824  (Calculated from MI) was his brother.

(Background - Patrick was a Colour Seargent in the 58th and escorted convicts to Austrailia on the Sir George Seymour in 1844/45 also on the same ship was Private Edward HASLAM who along with the rest of the 58th ended up in New Zealand, where he married one of my lot)
