Hello JB
I couldn't see anything for Ann or Alfred Hart in the monumental Inscription Index for St Deiniol's Hawarden :(

The dates you have a correct but are Burial rather than Death.

Paul.

Hi Paul, Thanks for a great offer.

Please, when you get time, could you look up an Edward Edwards who was born in Mold (probably Maes-y-Dre) in around 1835/6.  He is listed in a later Census after the family had moved away from Mold, and so that's all the detail we can find so far on his early life.  In the Census entry his parents are Margaret (nee Roberts) and Edward Edwards (think he was a Cotton Spinner at the time). We know they were both born in Mold around 1801 and they married in 1822, and had many children, the youngest being Daniel Edwards born 1838 in Maes-y-Dre (so of course we got his birth cert).  The curious thing  is he is not found on the Census in 1841.

I know it's a very common name, so I hope an entry jumps out at you!

Regards and Thanks in advance,  :-*

Hi Lisa, I had a look in mold baptisms but I couldn't see a baptism for  Edward or Daniel :(

Do you know where Edward & Margaret married?

If you could post the census details I'll have another look.

It might be worth posting your look up request on the Flintshire board
a lot more people use that thread than this one.

Paul.

Hi Paul,

Just came across this post and was wondering whether you're still able to do lookups at Flintshire Record Office? If so, it would be ever so much appreciated, I'm looking for the marriage of my friends grandparents Sydney Lovelock and Ruth Thomas between January and March 1935 in St Mary, Mold.

I'd also be really interested in the record of a marriage between a William Thomas and Mary Knight which happened between Jan-Mar 1910 in St Matthew, Buckley.

I'd be really grateful if you do manage to get chance to look these records up for me, if you're not planning a visit though please don't do so on my accord :)

Thanks for reading!

Lily. x

Hi Paul,

Wondered if you are still doing lookups.  I am searching for burial records for a relative of mine.  Mary Evans nee Windle was born in Liverpool in 1921 and died in 1979.  I believe the death registration district is Rhuddlan Clwyd and that she was buried in Pantasaph.

Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
John Windle

In the Cilcain Parish registers transcribed by the Clwyd Family History Society my 3g Grandmother   is listed as Jane Kendrick  baptised 10 June 1792 with parents Richard and Dorothy. I now have a problem because I think the entry has a mistake. Looking through the parish baptisms there are a total of 8 Kendrick girls born with mother Dorothy between 1788 and 1804

Kendrick Ann   D   Peter Dorothy   30 Nov 1788
Kendrick Mary    D   Peter Dorothy   3 Oct 1790
Kendrick Jane   D   Richard Dorothy   10 June 1792
Kendrick Dorothy   D   Peter Dorothy   2 Mar 1794
Kendrick Elizabeth   D   Peter Dorothy   8 Jan 1798
Kendrick Elinor   D   Peter Dorothy   26 Feb 1800
Kendrick Margaret   D   Peter Dorothy   9 May 1802
Kendrick Charlotte   D   Peter Dorothy   15 Feb 1804

however 7 of them give parents names as Peter and Dorothy but Jane's parents are listed as Richard and Dorothy.  I have found the marriage between Peter and Dorothy in 1788 but I can find no reference to a Richard Kendrick married to a Dorothy. There is only one Dorothy mother for the period.  Also you have to wonder that there is only one child born to Richard and Dorothy. Is it possible that there is a mistake in either the original record or in the transcript and Jane's father was in fact Peter. What I think is required here is a look at the original record to see if it is correct as transcribed and I wonder if this is possible please. ::Neil::

Hi Paul. Lovely offer.

Can you help with Thomas Clarke, born Harding, Flintshire  around 1821?

In the 1871 Census he is age 50, living with wife Eliza, 42, children Emma, 13, Henry, 9, and Mary, 5.
Occupation stableman, address Bruton Mews South, St. George Hanover Square, London.

I can't find his marriage, so I don't know if was in Flintshire or London, so I don't have Eliza's maiden name.

Any help much appreciated.
Molly.

Hello Molly,

I've never heard of a place called Harding in Flintshire.

I think this could be him. Thomas Clark born Hawarden 7 Jan 1822 baptised 28 Jan.
Parents Thomas & Alice(Duckworth) his fathers occupation was a Coachman. Abode H Castle

There was also a Cooper Clark born Aug 1 baptised 24 1828.
Parents Thomas & Anne (Sanders) fathers Occ Coachman.

Hawarden Burials.
Jan 28 1822 Alice Clarke wife of Thomas a Coachman. Abode H Castle. age 34.

July 17 1830 Anne Clarke wife of Thomas a Coachman. Abode Broad Lane. age 44.

I couldn't see a marriage for Thomas & Eliza in Hawarden.

Hope this helps.

Paul.
