Following up my posting yesterday, for 1851 and 1861 look up  :

Please could someone look up on 1841 Census for  :

13 Philpot Street, Stepney,  Mile End Old Town

Hoping Perry or Chamberlain/ lin/ lane there - or Thompson

Hi, sorry to jump in on another thred. I was wondering if you could please find for me a Charles James West or a Phoebe Blows and his father James West- plait dealer and her father William Blows- shepherd. Charles and Phoebe got married in 1844 I believe. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks. I wonder if they met at the Stepney Market back when it was full of sheep, horses and straw plait traders.

Wandering through 1841 St Lukes Chelsea and found some Chamberlains -
John, Mary, Alfred, James and an Elizabeth
Any help - if so let me know and will send you the details.

It's funny how some names 'stick' so that when I am wandering they sort of 'pop up' so I usually write them down.   Sometimes I'm way off beam -other times they are a rare find.
Ref is 1841 HO107 687 ED8 Page 118
Chamberlain
John, 60, shoemaker born out of London
Mary 60, out of London
Alfred 26, out of London
James 20 , shoe apprentice, born London and they are in Kinsall (Kensall?) New Town, St Lukes Chelsea, Kensington.
Also same ED Sloane St St Lukes, Chelsea was an Elizabeth Chamberlain, 40 female servant born out of London.

Thanks for that   , I have assumed before where Ancestors have come from and been wrong, they could be mine. Might be able to pass them on to someone else researching that name.
