Can't remember the name but it was, I think, in Ida Road. Not a hotel, though.

My Auntie is well over 80 now and is coming to see me from America next month.

Spent many a happy time when I was a kid roaming around Skeggy - 'those were the days my friend'......................................

Needs to be a little more research, could be a 10 year time frame.
I notice the rails are in place around the hotel, would they have disappeared for the war effort etc.
I suggest and it is good for anyone researching an area, go to google choose the Image option , and search Skegness.
I did and found loads both old and new, some in family history sites.
You may find an unknown rele, of find one in someone elses picture.

Late forties early fifties, the Hotel in the picture is still there and was built in the 30's.
The County Hotel.
I can see the Sit up and beg Ford Prefect, and what looks like a Wolsley in the picture.

Just been on EBay and recommend a search under the heading of Skegness, there are loads of dated pictures etc. ;)
