if it is any help, you can view wellhouse on a map at www.getamap.co.uk if you type in Tore. you should find it ok. they also have a link there to historic maps, so if you find wellhouse first then click the oldmaps link it will take you straight to an image of the wellhouse location circa 1880. (my apologies if you already know all this).

kind regards,
Lorna.

Hello Weemary,
I had ancestors William MCLENNAN and Margaret BAIN who have proven elusive. I too got the Avoch and Suddie booklets as they were the closest to Strath of aucheterflow (where they lived). If the other booklets are for kirkyards nearby I'd appreciate a look inside. William and Margaret had children 1790 to 1801 so I guess would have been born around 1774 at the latest and died early to mid-part of 19th century.
The children were Donald (b. 1790) John (my ancestor - moved to Aberdeen and was buried there. b. 1792), William (b.1795 - died in infancy), another  William (b. 1798) and Roderick (b. 1801)

cheers

Hi WeeMary,

Just noticed your kind offer. If you have time, I'd be very grateful if you can find any members of the Angus family burried in Dingwall. They lived in the area from about the mid 1800's and descendants are possibly still in the area.

Grateful thanks,
Sukie
