HI walkerlad

It was only with trisha's post that I was able to comfirm the marriage.

Anyway 1841 Paulespury (near to Pattishall) H.O.107/796/10/Pg22 Folio 15 Church End there is a family who could be yours but you really need to confirm with a certficate for one of your brood.

Joseph Davis 65 Ag Lab Y
Harriet 45 Y
William 20 Y
Mary 15 Y
Pg 23
Elizabeth 15 Y
Thomas 10 Y
Harriet 9 Y
Abraham 1 Y

Hi again walkerlad

In 1851 the family are in Cold Higham saying children all born Eastcote till Emma Elizth, Astcote and Joseph Grimscote.

Ellis could have been with grandparents or somewhere else in village will have a look.

William to Joseph and Elizabeth Davis Cold Higham Labourer

Okay walkerlad

I think this is your William's baptism at Cold Higham P.C.

Pg 14 No 108 26th Decr 1824
William to Joseph and Elizabeth Davis Foster's Booth Labourer

And these are his children's

Pg 47 No 370 Novr 4th 1849 at Cold Higham P.C.
Joseph to William and Elizabeth Davis Grimscote Labourer

Pg 47 No 371 Novr 4th 1849 at Cold Higham P.C.
Emma to William and Elizabeth Davis Grimscote Labourer

Pg 47 No 372 Novr 4th 1849 at Cold Higham P.C.
Mary Ann to William and Elizabeth Davis Grimscote Labourer

Then the one who could be Ellis?
Pg 49 No 386 Novr 2nd 1851 at Cold Higham P.C.
Elise? (it really is) Jeffrey to William and Elizabeth Davis Cold Higham Labourer

Hi walkerlad

I thought I was following the correct line as they were the only families in the village but by re-reading it I could have been mistaken and I certainly would not direct someone on the wrong lineage intentionally.

All I can say for certain is that the Vicar made entries after the events and therefore could have noted the wife's name wrongly or I am incorrect.

So you may not accept the Joseph and Elizabeth baptism for the 2 Williams but I have verified everything else and it is correct.
