Charles Norris Mee

Hi,looking for any information on Charles Norris Mee,he signed on for the Canadian army in 1915 and died in 1916 he gave his address as Newcastle Ontario and his trade as a baker what we dont know is what was he doing in Canada anyway and when and who he went with,his wife, children etc any help appreciated.  Regards   Alan Mee

Hi Alan,

I looked at Charles's attestation papers and it lists his address as Newmarket, Ontario, instead of Newcastle.  It says his wife is Mary.  Have you seen his full military record?  Newmarket was not that big of a town back then.  Do you know where he was married?

No evidence this is the same man, but he is a baker  .....

Charles Norris MEE is on the Canadian Virtual War Memorial

Among other info it states "Husband of Mary A. Mee, of 39, Massey St., Blue Bell Hill, Nottingham, England. " It also gives his regiment, burial location etc

As Karen says, you need to get his full military file not just his Attestation Papers!
