How can I research a WW2 fighter pilot?
« on: Sunday 29 August 04 14:46 BST (UK) »
Please can anyone help me? I am desperately trying to find out information regarding a Tom Vincent Back. All I know of him was that he was alive during WW2 and was a fighter pilot based in England. I do not know of his age or nationality. I do not know how to go about finding any information on him and all my basic searches are drawing blanks. Please can anyone make any suggestions?
Bucks - Chapman, Garnett, Munday, Smith, Hains, Field, Mayo, Glassington
Cambs - Turner, Alsop
London/Surrey/Middlesex - Floden, Sheppard, Parsons, Luckett, Smith, Martyn, March

Hi There.

I have a address for RAF personel inquiries.

If this gentleman was a fighter pilot, he was more than likely an officer. postal applications only, for information.

                       Branch PG 5a (2)
                        RAF Innsworth
                        Gloucestershire
                            GL3 E2

Non Officers
                        Branch  PMan 2b
                         RAF Innsworth
                         Gloucestershire
                               GL£ E2

Hope this helps
