In a Will dated 1842 one of the beneficiaries is Flora Dalziel or Corrie. From her place in the siblings list in the Will, and her siblings birth dates, Flora was born c 1795-98.
I have searched everywhere for Flora, tried variations of Dalziel and Corrie, and posted messages wherever I can!
Is there anyone researching Dalziel or Corrie who recognises this person?
I suspect that she may have gone abroad as it is mentioned in the Will that she had to have £100 deducted from her share while her siblings had £30-60 deducted.
The family lived near the boundary of Durrisdeer/Penpont Parishes. Unfortunately there are very few records for Durrisdeer.
Can anyone help?

Hi Emcee,

It's been a while  :)

Have you traced the elusive Flora yet?

In 1841 there are 2 Flora CARRIEs born in Scotland i.e. not where they are living.  One in 1796 living in Perthshire (Blairgowrie) and one in 1791 living in Greenock.

There is a Flora Currie bn 1791 also living in Greenock but born elsewhere in Scotland.

Let me know if you want any details on these ladies.

All the best,
Pam

Thanks Pam

I am still looking for Flora!
However, I think I have found her in 1841 at Kilmark, Tynron, Dumfries.
From another source I believe that the family left Tynron c1845. I have no idea where to, but am certain they left Scotland and probably England. Have tried the obvious USA, Canada without any luck. Am now looking at Australia & NZ but having difficulty getting started there.
Thanks for trying to help!!
