They must have had experiences of codes in the war time. Have the transcribers worked at bletchley park?

I found James Fryman transcribed as James Seymour ! No wonder it took so long to find him  ???
If I find an error I always correct it but add a little note about how they could take more care when transcribing  :)

My Lincolnshire ancestors were all transported to Bovey Tracey in Devon.

When they got the county correct they got the place wrong, Pinchbeck comes up as Hendgebok, I ask you!
I think the people who regularly telephone saying we are paying too much council tax, there is a virus in my computer, we can have a grant for free loft insulation etc etc are moonlighting. They speak as ancestry spells.

Got a cold call the other day saying this firm were in the neighbourhood next week and it would be cheaper to have the barge boarding and fascias done at the same time as my neighbours. They had all agreed etc etc. I said they were very welcome to do the work if they could find barge boards and fascias as we had stone gulleys to take away rainwater . The caller slammmed the `phone down, I took exception to that as that is my prerogative!!!
