George Cresswell & Maria Scattergood

I am stuck and need some help.

I have hit a wall in my family tree and not living in the UK I find it difficult researching my family. But this is where I am and maybe someone could help.

George Cresswell 36 y. old in 1881 Census married to Maria Scattergood (children Elizabeth, George, Kate, William and Henry).

I need any information for both (birth, death, parents, etc.) I know it is a broad request, but I have been stuck here for a while.

Notts Marriage Index shows a William Scattergood married to a Sarah Smith 27.3.1842 at Nottingham St Marys.
