Hi Alan

What I did to this was - increase the canvas size of your picture and added 2 more pictures, one a face looking in the same direction and a army jacket.

I then resized them 2 items to fit the same dimensions of the peson in your picture, bit of nip & tuck gets it about right.

Due to the fact very little was left of facial features artistic license was used, that was the reason for asking does it look like him.

Using the clone command and a reduced opacity I transfer the skin texture from the good face onto yours avoiding the eyes on this occasion. The nose and mouth lined up perfect to complete that part of the face, I zoomed in on the eyes and added eye balls within the original eye area, I tried to leave the eye area alone after that.

Did the same with the jacket, again low opacity.

Cropped picture back to a head & chest shot, then cut and pasted onto a barrack room photo.

Simple as that.

Still needs a lot of practice to make it better but its a start.
