Found your message thanks Celia. What does 2nd sub mean? Does it imply that she is the second person in the grave?
Many thanks once again.

Hi Bubblejack
You know i looked on the the non conformist and found Leonard Ruth Woods, but not The Garner woods. You had asked me to check  the latter again. So thats what i was going to do to keep you happy ;D"Oh Ye of little Faith" ;D even though i knew it wasn't there because i doubled checked. Before i did though i had to use the C.O.E  film 1943-73 for Ann. For some reason and because the writing was so nice i decided to start at 1950 to see if any names where there i had never found. That is lots ;) Look what jumped out

1953 C.O.E
Buried 15th April Leonard Garner Woods age 67
Abode 16,Sandymount Drive New Brighton Parish All Saints Plot 19c Grave 253
So not only are they not in the same grave, they are on different plots under different religions. So are on different films. Let me know if your not happy with that and i will re-check it for you no prob ;)

« Reply #273 on: Tuesday 08 November 05 02:46 GMT (UK) »
Is someone able to look up the  burial record/parish record of my GGrandad  Thomas Lloyd. I believe he was buried in Flaybrick. His death 19 October 1922, age 49,born 1873 railway traffic canvasser. Church of England. His wife Helena. Lived 13 Beech Road Tranmere. I heard that he may be buried alongside?? 2 other relatives? Am thinking maybe Helena but not sure.  The other burial/parish record also needed is my GGGrandad  Thomas Lloyd (the above's father) Think his death age 64 September quarter  1907 Birkenhead (born 1843 Bagillt)
Greatly appreciated as l live in Canada. Its -10c at the moment!!

Celia---thank you very much indeed. I always wondered where Joseph was buried, in fact I had a feeling that he might have been cremated and his ashes scattered on the Garden of Rememberance at Landican.
Now I know!
Thanks once again.

Landican Cemetery  Opened 1934
Plymyard Cemetery Opened 1930
Frankby Cemetery  Opened 1940
Wallasey Cemetery, Rake Lane. Opened 1883

Flaybrick Memorial Gardens (formerly Flaybrick Cemetery) 1864

Hi Ann i thought you might to know this,if you donr already
I can do lookups for all the cemeteries but i cant visit them they are to far for me to go,but they are useful for others because when/if i find them. They know where to go.
in regard to cremations,if a family already have a grave in rake lane.Maybe the grave is full or  for other reasons.A member will be cremated and the ashes be scattered on the family grave. Not in Landican. If this happens it is counted as a burial,i have seen lots on the burial index. It is entered in the same way as a burial except it says.Cremated remain then gives the plot number as per usual.

Hi Kira
would you like to look at my topic  on the Cheshire board Celia's Rake Lane,it covers all cemeteries i do lookups on.
If you want a lookup.Copy and paste your request onto it.Saves typing it all out again ;D I can only visit rake lane as the others are to far.If you want photos you might find someone who lives nearer than i do,but cant do the lookups. so we work together, getting more organized now ;D

Hello Celia,
Thanks to your instructions, we found our family's plot very easily & were able to take photos & note the inscription yesterday in sunny Wallasey. We also saw the house they lived in on Trafalgar Avenue.
Thanks again for your help,
Regards,
Graham

Thanks for such quick work, Celia. Do you ever get time for shopping??? I'm impressed that you have managed to find both for me and in different sections. So the headless grave I found was for my Grandfather and his son Leonard was buried in a different plot. Looks like a walk around 14c even if it's to convince myself I am related to someone called Ruth!!! Hope this one has a stone, I wil let you know and thanks for your hard work it is very much appreciated.
