I am seeking details of a marriage in 1914 of a John Mitchell and Sarah ?? in Ellesmere Port. Does anyone have access to the Parish Register?

Hi Barrie  - there's a marriage entry on the 'Cheshire BMD' site for a John Mitchell and Sarah Thelwell in 1914 (Christ Church Ellesmere Port). Could  this be the one you're looking for?
If you click on the reference number  (CE/22/1/473) you can get the application form  to send for a copy of the marriage certificate if you wanted to - you would then have the names of both fathers.

Thanks for that. I have seen this but was wondering if another John Mitchell had married in Ellesmere Port about the same time as we do not at present believe the bride's name was Thelwell. John is not of my direct line but a cousin's who is reluctant to believe the Thelwell bit.

I know the PRs are in Chester RO so when next that way I will have a look..
