Hi Ray,

Thank you for all the census information.

Nice surprise this morning for me.  You said before that you had looked at the 1841 and not found any Parnell families living in the area.

Next year when our Family History is taking film orders again I think I will order in some census films for the 1841 census in Norwich and see what we can find.

Thanking you for the lovely information

Hi Christy,

I will keep track of this thread then!!... :D

At the moment I can only go back as far as Edward Parnell bn. 1826 at Taverham Norfolk. (1851 census) married to Sarah Ann (dont know maiden name). They probably married c1843 as they had a child, George, bn 1844. It seems that Sarah Ann may have died and Edward remarried to another Sarah! Its been very confusing!
In later generations the family moved into Norwich.

Regards,
Sue

Re. Cooke line, of Norwich

Hello Ray, do you have a Charlotte Kezia Cooke in your line, married in Dec. qtr 1887 to a John Thomas Scott (bc 1860) with at least 2 sons: John Charles Scott and Allan (or Alan) Cooke Scott, of Thorpe St Matthew, Norwich (1891, 1901 censuses)?  Both Charlotte and John born Norwich.

Thanks, Richard

Hi all
I have been looking for a caroline parnell born in that area, born around 1834. I think she married \a robert brown in 1853 . I am hoping to prove that my  robert brown  married caroline parnell and not caroline read. This family moved to spotland in bacup in the 1870's but all their children seem to be born in the same area of norfolk, st martin at oak. The final child, jessie brown, was born in 1878. They married, i think, i hope, in 1853. But there is also a marriage of a robert brown to a caroline read at more or less the same time of year, so guess it could be this one too. Can anyone help?
