Please repair Mum
« on: Sunday 13 November 05 11:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi again,

As no one has yet told me to bug off and stop hogging this chat room, I will hold my breath and post this photo of my Mum.  Then I promise I will give you a break ......for a while at least.

Can you please remove the spots caused by the surface flaking off.
Thanks heaps and God bless you.

Lyn

Still practicing, I managed to get rid of some of the spots, but I'm blowed if I can master smoothing blemishes.

No doubt you'll get a great repair done by someone on here.

Hi Sandie
Thanks for that!  If you are just practising, I gather that you are still learning.    If that is the case, then you are doing very well.  She looks great!
God bless you

Hi Keith,
Thanks a lot.  I know that it was a horrible photo.  The one I have was so small.....only about 1½" x 2½".  My sister thinks that a cousin printed it on her computer some years ago.  That could explain why it is so grainy & beginning to flake.  The photo paper may have been real cheap. I am trying to get hold of her to see if she still has the original.
Mind you, I know my scanner is not too flash either and it may have added to the woes.  Truth is, I cannot afford a good one.
So thanks a lot for your efforts, I do appreciate them.
God bless you

Hi Lyn,

I realise that not everyone likes colourising - but sometimes a poor quality images lends itself to this method - just gives an idea what you could get with a good quality image.

Cheers

Hi Keith,
Thanks.  That looks great!  It is a shame that the quality is not better, but colour does help.
God bless you for caring enough to try.  I appreciate it.
Thanks again

Hope you dont mind me playing with your colour version, ran it in a smooth filter to clear the speckles.

Hi Ken,

No problem - I am no good with the few filters I have - they seem to lose to much info - over what they gain

Cheers

Keith

P.S. - which one did you use?
