Record office address
« on: Sunday 13 November 05 11:16 GMT (UK) »
I have tried 3 times this morning to send an email to the East Ryding Record Office and each time it is returned because the address is incorrect. Can anyone please tell me the correct one?

The address I used was: customer.services@eastrydings.gov.uk which is the address on the web site. Or have I got it wrong?

I notice in the email address that you have put a y rather than an i in riding and an s on the end, might be why you're getting them returned.

I've got a leaflet in front of me for East Yorskhire archives, website is
www.eastriding.gov.uk/learning
email is
archives.service@eastriding.gov.uk

hope that helps

My first thought, without trying it, is that Riding is spelt with an "i", not a "y".
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

Just to let you know I re-sent the message spelling it correctly this time and it hasn't come back. I can't believe I spelt Riding with a Y maybe the Nytol hasn't wore off yet. Ha! Ha!

Thanks once again.

Should that be "Nitol"?  ;D ;D ;D

Glad you got there in the end.
