As there were only 9 instances between the two spellings found on the IGI, the name could also be McLaren, McClaren, McLennan, McClennan.

Thankyou for looking Im looking for a a marriage for a John Allen Married to a Catherine,  Ifound one on the ukbmd site in 1863, on the 1881 census it says she was born in Tyrone Co, Ireland. Did the Catherine you found say who she married.
