Hello Pat,

Thank you for your kind offer, what I am trying to do is narrow down as to where my gt. gt. gt. Grandfather John O'Halloran came from. He was either from Limerick or Clare. The marriage certificates of his daughters who emigrated to Australia in 1854 stated they were from Limerick and his occupation was a corn and butter dealer. As I cannot find a John O'Halloran as a corn and butter dealer in Limerick I do find one in Ennis and this is where I am confused. Any thoughts you may have would be appreciated.

Hi Sharon,
Thank you for your reply, the date is too late for my g.g.g. grandfather who was deceased before 1854, thats not to say maybe it is his son, what I have learned to-day is that it appears that Mary, one of John O'Hallorans daughters, may have gone back to Ireland to take over the business as we have been unable to find records of her in Australia, we did see in the Bassett's Trade Directory there is a Mary O'Halloran, Butter Dealer in Summer Street Limerick City, dated 1879. Page 125.
Sooner or later we will narrow it down.
