Help with Grandad please

I dont have many pictures of my Grandad and this one is covered in dots of some sort.

Could one of you photo genuises work your magical wonders to improve him.

I would really appreciate any help on this.

Hi Nicky,
  If you could rescan the image at 300ppi and save as tiff, you can send yor image to "yousendit" http://www.yousendit.com/ Use the rootschat.photo@gmail.com as the email address. After you have uploaded the image you will receive an email back with a download link. If you post that link here, everyone can download it and work on the large image.
Cleary, Doran, Boland, McCooey, McManus, O'brien, Martin, Savage, Wallis, McCollister, Wood.  (More to come soon)

I have had a pm from Rkaa and I think from what was said this pic is a no go!
I dont have the original only a copy off a disc so unfortunately I cannot scan all I have is what I posted.
Think Grandad will remain spotty!!

I had a try Nicky.
I think it came out a bit clearer with colour.

I didn't want to go around his chin or ears I thought I'd lose all definition if I did, thats why its so blotchy there.
