Help with Marriage details please

I am looking for a marriage cert for an Ann Middleton who I believe was the wife of James Doyle.

I can find her on Free BMD with no husband details on.  Does anyone know how else I can check if she is the right one before I go and order certs.

You could go back to freeBMD and choose the 'view images' option. Search for Marriages - 1857 - December and see if you can find James Doyle with the same reference... I agree it's a bit fastidious.

Me again. I was already running the search while posting previous message - I can't see James Doyle in that quarter. Have a look for yourself. The Doyle's are on page 604.

I can't find him either doing a search with the ref no.  But not sure what you mean by page 604.  I got a bit stuck with the search image on BMD.

What do you want to know exactly?
Do you know her from before her marriage or are you working backwards?

I am working backwards.  I have her in the 61 census living with James (but it says James Doyles) and their children, but also living with her mother and father Ann and Thomas Middleton.  So that has given me her maiden name.  But can't match them up together.

I just want to know for sure that that is the right person.

Have had a look at 1851 to see whether her mother could have remarried this chap Middleton, but no.
