War Memorial (Staffs)
« on: Saturday 19 November 05 08:35 GMT (UK) »
Does any person know of any War Memorials that are tucked away and not easy to be found
For example in a wall of an office /pub building, or in the country that only the locals would know where to find them. or private ones. I would like to know so I can photograph and note the names and inscription.

Hi Alf.

If you google "war memorials in staffordshire" you will find all the info that you need.

There is a complete list of memorials from A to Z.

Regards Tom.

Hello,

I think there is a small memorial tablet for workers from Dormans factory still in the grounds  though the Company there now is  Perkins (Tixall Rd Stafford).
The memorial for Lotus factory workers is in the John Whieldon Primary School on Corporation St in Stafford. It was saved after the closure of Lotus and finally put in the school which is near the old factory site.

Hi

Many thanks for that I will pay them a visit.

That the ones I am looking for, they do not get a mention anywhere.
