Marie Heft Ontario, Canada Census before 1881

Hello...

I am looking for Marie (Mary) Heft b. Ontario, Canada abt 1864.  I don't know if Ontario had a census before the 1881 but would appreciate any help.  We have been trying to find out who her parents are.  All we know is that they were born in Germany/Prussia.  She had two siblings named Frederick (Fred) Heft b. 14 Nov 1869 probably in Ontario, Canada and Lena (or Lenna) Heft b. 28 Nov. 1868.

In the 1880 US Census Marie Heft is already in the USA, Lenna Heft is living with relatives.

Hi Megan, The 1871 Ontario Census lists Heads of Households only. 

I found some marriage registrations for Ontario with the surname of Heft:
#7963-02 (Grey Co) Charles HEFT, 29, carpenter, Sullivan, Sault St. Marie, s/o Christ. HEFT & Minnie GROCHOFSKI, married Mary C. McINTOSH, 27, Sullivan, Sullivan, d/o Donald R. McINTOSH & Mary CAMERON, witn Harry HEFT & Susan

7114-00 (Grey Co): Julius J. SCHULTZ, 25, farmer, Ontario, Sullivan, s/o Julius SCHULTZ & Luise SLOMKE, married Carry BLEICH, 21, Ontario, Sullivan, d/o Frederick BLEICH & Gustine HEFT, witn: Godfried BLEICH of Holland & Cathleen KLACHN? Of Sullivan, 12 Dec 1900 at Sullivan (Lutheran)

The online 1871 Ontario census lists only head of household. If you cite the exact reference of the head of houshold  (ie RG 31 District.. County.. sub district.. township.. page... reel and name) to Archives they will send you details of rest of household. see this site for details of how to obtain:

Can't find deaths for the other 2 ...GODFRID & Charles...or in u.s....
 

I guess only Frederick on the 1881 isn't yours?

If Marie Heft married and died in the U.S., you could also get her marriage and death records, which should list her parents' names.
