Thanks Sandy: I have the fiche of the Wadenhoe registers, so know about the baptisms of the Joseph/Mary generation -- it's just that I haven't followed any of the children through except my own direct line.  Had a look at the Cumberland surname message board too, incidentally, but it's nearly all American...  (not that I have anything against our cousins across the pond)
