Wendy
I do not believe there is a connection........
The only Findlay in our line (as far as I know) is George Downie Watson married Ann Findlay in 1882 in Boyndie.
The Lovie in our tree is John Lovie married Jean Watson (date unknown) and had a daughter Jean Lovie b 26/8/1783 who married William Watson date unknown
I will keep you posted if I come across any other leads.

Kind regards

Hi Princess,
Thanks, I notice that you are in Australia, my David Lovie immigrated to Australia where he married Helen Shepherd. Did any of your Lovie family immigrate to Australia?

None of the Lovie clan on our side immigrated to Australia.
The only Lovie connection to Australia is Jean Lovie's gg grandson Charles Duff Watson immigrated to Oz in 1915/16.
Will stay in touch.... maybe SOMEWHERE there is a connection??
Kind regards

Thanks Princess. My ancestors all immigrated to Australia in the 1850's.

Certificate almost illegible. Informant John Ritchie, son Buried in churchyard at Boyndie, as certified by Alexander Smith, gravedigger. No trace of marriage found Certificate almost illegible.
